  • Private donors -  35 percent. According to Giving USA, the 2003 allocations for private-donor funding look like this:
    • Individual 74.5 percent of 35 percent
      (26 percent of all income)
    • Bequests 8.2 percent of 35 percent
      (3 percent of all income)
    • Foundations 10.9 percent of 35 percent
      (3.8 percent of all income)
    • Corporate 5.6 percent of 35 percent
      (2 percent of all income)
