So You Want To Be On a Board teleseminar series offered exclusively to SAC members
EAST GREENWICH, RI – May 29, 2011. The Society for Advancement of Consulting (SAC) announces the availability of an exclusive teleseminar series to prepare individuals to serve on the boards of nonprofit organizations.The series So You Want to Be on a Board consists of eight one-hour sessions offered by leading consultants who specialize in work with nonprofit entities. It is available exclusively to members of Alan Weiss’s communities, including SAC as well as Alan’s Forums.
The program is designed for those relatively new to nonprofit board service or interested in serving for the first time, but will also provide information about ongoing changes to the sector that even experienced directors will find valuable.
Launching in June, the program includes the following sessions:
Session 1 – June 16: So You Want to Be on a Board, presented by Liz de Clifford and Terrie Temkin
Session 2 – June 30: Engage! Provide Oversight, presented by Terrie Temkin
Session 3 – July 14: Tell the Story, presented by Linda Popky
Session 4 – July 28: Ensure the Availability of Sufficient Resources – Part I, presented by Karen Eber Davis, Laura Mikuska, and Kathy Kingston
Session 5 – August 11: Ensure the Availability of Sufficient Resources – Part II, presented by Karen Eber Davis, Laura Mikuska, and Kathy Kingston
Session 6 – August 25: Build Leadership for the Future, presented by Terrie Temkin and Laura Mikuska
Session 7 – September 8: Plan!, presented by Karen Eber Davis and Laura Mikuska
Session 8 – September 26: Alan’s Perspective, presented by Million Dollar Consultant and SAC founder Alan Weiss
Attendees may choose to sign up for a single session or for the full series and will be able to submit questions in advance. Sessions will be recorded and available for download for 30 days following. All sessions will begin at noon eastern time.
