Best Practices: Fundraising Planning in Uncertain Times

Obtaining the revenue your nonprofit was tough “in the old days” (like in 2019) when some 50 percent of nonprofits ended the year in the red.

That was then. Now, it’s tougher.

A 2020 Candid analysis predicted that between 3 and 38 percent of nonprofits will be pandemic victims—and data is based on organizations with revenues greater than $50,000 per year.

The stakes for developing nonprofit revenue are unlikely to be this high again in our careers.
