Forging Foundation Recognized For Innovative Fundraising

The Forging Foundation Executive Director Jim Warren and its consultant Karen Eber Davis of Karen Eber Davis Consulting were recognized and selected to co-present at the prestigious Association Foundation Group’s (AFG) Virtual Edge Conference (Aug 26th—Sept 17th) on the topic ‘The Case of the One-Size-Fits-All-Contributions Request:  How to Raise More Money by Offering Distinct Value to Your Donors’. Out of the 20 sessions offered, Warren and Eber-Davis’s September 2nd session was ranked 4th most popular and earned these feedback remarks:

The presentation focused on the Forging Foundation stepping out-of-the-box to create the Presidents’ Challenge Scholarship Fund with a ‘give where you live’ feature of supporting its members’ local community colleges and trade schools. In its first year, enough funds were raised to offer 80 $500 scholarships through 13 new school partnerships. The program obligates students to visit an FIA member’s forge plant and view FIA’s Forging 101 e-learning program. We wanted to share this item so the forging industry can have confidence in its foundation’s staff and confidence that the Forging Foundation will be excellent stewards of any gifts we receive.”
